About Erika
E. S. Avery-Norum began painting and sculpting at the early age of three. She has successfully exhibited her work from Florida to New York. With her paintings and works being displayed everyplace form museum showcases to the boardroom it is no wonder her commissioned work is well over 500 pieces.
Erika has truly been inspired by the Masters such as Picasso, Michelangelo and Dali. However, her own unique style brings a fresh twist of dynamic energy to the new world of art!
Majoring in Psychology and Philosophy helped to give a unique perspective to the poetic painter’s creations. Art has continued to be the great passion and source of power in her life. The paint brush has also been a wonderful form of therapy.....a catharsis for certain emotions to be brought out and examined. The canvas allows her to share with the world her own life lessons from both dark and bright periods.
This Artist’s aspiration is not only to share beauty with the world through her creations, but also to inspire others to examine their own spiritual paths. When others ask this surreal sculptor to interpret a piece, she replies, "What do you think it means?” Different eyes will see something unique when they look at the same object.
